German Paper Case Binding. Red decorated paper with spatula technique, with red leather reinforcements on head and tail and ‘invisible’ corners. The title in white, on the front cover and three dots on the spine, is stamped with the hot foil blocking press. Natural trimmed edge, red leather headbands. Ingres endpapers in brick-red on the mirror and beige for the fly leaf. Soft slipcase in red card.

About the artist: 1988-1992 Trained as a manual binder in Lausanne and Sion. She then spent a year at the cbl in Ascona with Edwin Heim, as well as with Sün Evrard, Hedi Kyle, J.-L. Honegger, Peter Aegerter and Carmencho Arregui. In 1993-96 she worked with Rolf Bommer and at the Papiermühle in Basel. In 1996 she opened her own bookbindery in Barcelona, where she worked until 2005, taking part in exhibitions and teaching at various schools throughout Spain.
From 2005-2010 she finally worked in Milan, where she also opened a bookbinding workshop. During this time, she also taught at various locations throughout Europe. From 2010 until the end of 2022, Suzanne Schmollgruber will be head of the Centro del bel libro in Ascona.
Since 2013 Suzanne is an active member of buchundform.
