About the artist: Hélène Limousin already knew what she wanted to be when she was thirteen. After training as a bookbinder, she attended the Tolbiac-Gymnasium in Paris and then the École Estienne. Her first job was at Atelier Quillet, Ile de Ré in Paris in 1999. In 2000, she founded and jointly managed a workshop in Montmorillon. And in 2003, she founded her own company, the ‘Atelier des Mille Feuillets’ in Cholet. Since then, Hélène Limousin has regularly taken part in competitions and received various awards.

Since 2015, she has shared her workshop with an illuminator and calligrapher in order to be able to better combine her craftsmanship and creativity. She is also active in the professional associations APPAR (Association pour la Promotion des Arts de la Reliure), ARA France (Association de la Reliure d'Art) and AAF (Art Workshops of France).
