About the artist: Godelieve Dupin de Saint Cyr was born in Brussels and grew up in Brazil. She trained in Paris at the École de l’Union centrale des arts décoratifs (UCAD). With a constantly attentive spirit, she revitalizes the bookbinding trade. She is an artist and a teacher, thoughtful and spontaneous. She discusses with students, colleagues, and her friends Sün Evrard and Marie Pia Jousset. Her cover designs are elegant, subtle and reject the obvious. Her work is a sophisticated contribution of pure beauty to the art of bookbinding. Godelieve Dupin de Saint Cyr is one of the outstanding personalities of the Ateliers d’Arts Appliqués du Vésinet (AAAV), which are renowned for the quality of their courses. She has dedicated her career to bookbinding, teaching, marbling, sharing her knowledge, and passing on her enthusiasm. “Passion, discipline and high standards” could be her motto.
