About the artist: Markus Müller, manual binder with further training on machines, artisan training in Ascona, 1975 ‘Prix Paul Bonnet’, 1980-2009 member of the management of Basler Papiermühle, 2009 winner of the ‘Biennale Mondiale de la Reliure’, 2009 participation in exhibitions in Paris, 2010 London and 2011 Odense, 2010-2018 teaching position at the Basel School of Design.

Together with his wife Birgit, he runs his own BOOK studio in Bubendorf BL, where books are created from paper-making to printing on the hand press to the designed master binding.
