Les Bibliophiles du Crapouillot chez Pierre Trémois, éditeur, Paris 1946 As a young Sorbonne graduate, Galtier was sent to the front in 1914. From the barracks to his baptism of fire in the Ardennes, he describes his experiences in the army with humour and realism, from his memories as an infantryman going one way and the other without understanding what was happening. His account of fear and heroism, but also of disbelief and horror, allows us to better understand the battles of the First World War.

About the artist: Alain Taral was born in Saint-Dié in France in 1949. His career in wood design began with small caskets, pictures and small pieces of furniture with marquetry and marquetry. From 1989, he applied his experience as a cabinetmaker and marquetry artist to covers. To complete his training, he studied bookbinding at the École des Beaux-Arts in Tou-lon under the guidance of Jacqueline Cabot.

He takes part in international exhibitions and competitions, achieves excellent results and enjoys a great deal of attention.
